Senator Osgood

Chief Executive Officer of Mount Olive Development Corporation

A Broward County native, Senator Rosalind Osgood holds a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She has earned a Master’s Degree in Divinity from New Orleans Southern Baptist Theological ATS fully accredited Seminary. She has been the Chief Executive Officer of Mount Olive Development Corporation for the past 23 years, a Faith in Florida Organizer, a Florida Senator for District 32, and an Associate Minister at New Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Senator Osgood was the former Chair of the Broward County School Board, leading the School Board’s National Mask Mandate battle against the Governor of Florida in 2020.

Senator Osgood is a Former Adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Huizenga School of Business and the author of two books, The Story Behind the Story and Influential Woman Leader. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Links, Incorporated, and a Life Member of the Fort Lauderdale Broward Branch of the NAACP. She is also a graduate of Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 37.

In 2013, she became the First Female Chaplain for the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department. She has served on numerous Boards and Committees. Currently, she serves on the Florida Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys, Broward Behavioral Health Coalition Board, the Nova Southeastern University Huizenga School of Business Advisory Board, and the Faith in Action National Board.
